Final Word:
Too many people are going to ignore this problem before it is too late.  Too many managers are going to say that spending money on this problem won't "gain" them anything.  Too many are going to say that this problem has been over hyped.

Don't get trapped into this thinking.  Those that don't prepare for the year 2000 are going to suffer, and many companies will go out of business.  Preparing for the Y2k bug is the cost of STAYING ALIVE!  Customers are NOT going to forgive you when your company fails to provide them with the products and services that they have come to expect.  Preparing for January 1, 2000 is the cost of survival!  Are you going to wait until it is too late?

Check out the web sites and the books on this subject listed on the CleveNet site.  See that the consensus out there is that this is a BIG problem!  Congress is studying the problem now, and giving government & industry poor grades in preparation.  Get informed.  Get prepared.  But hurry.  Time is running out!
